Fire Prevention
The Haddon Heights Fire Prevention Office is the Code Enforcement arm of the Haddon Heights Fire
Department. The New Jersey Uniform Code, N.J.A.C 5:70-1 et seq, is enforced in all buildings within Haddon Heights with
the exception of owner occupied one and two family dwellings. Additionally, the office conducts inspections for purposes
of issuing a certificate for smoke detector and carbon monoxide detector compliance prior to the sale of a property within
Haddon Heights.
The Fire Prevention Office happily provides free batteries & smoke detectors. These are distributed to senior citizens and other persons residing in Haddon Heights who have a need for this equipment. Additionally the installation of the equipment is also provided.
