Presently the Haddon Heights Fire Department is comprised of approximately forty-five members who are from wide ranging walks of life. Tradesmen, airline pilot,
schoolteacher, business proprietor are examples of some of the members. Membership in the Haddon Heights Fire Department is open to any resident of Haddon
Heights wishing to provide a service to their community. An extensive orientation program along with basic fire fighter training is available to new members. More in-depth training is offered to those members who choose to
continue in this organization. Membership in the Haddon Heights Fire Department is truly a rewarding experience. Though no remuneration is given to members the reward of helping those in need is immeasurable. Any resident with a desire to help will be welcome. Perhaps you're unable to assist in the more physically challenging tasks members are asked to perform. If you are willing to help there is something you can do to assist the overall organization. Anyone wishing more information on membership is invited to the fire station, located behind the library on Station Avenue any Monday evening. Call (856) 546-7135 for more information.
