WTC Steel – NYC to Arlington, VA

Incident Type: Department Event — 10:00 am
On Saturday, August 28, 2010 a remaining section of steel was to be transported from New York City to its final resting place in Arlington, VA. The Haddon Heights Fire Department was asked to participate in the goal to have a showing of fire apparatus on every single overpass between NYC and Arlington, and accepted with great honor. We paired together with Lindenwold Fire Department in an effort to erect a ladder arch, with an American Flag raised between the two apparatus. Thanks go out to the HHFD members who participated, and the Lindenwold Fire Department members for their time and apparatus showing. Their display was flawless, and greatly appreciated by all involved.
