The Haddon Heights Fire Department is pleased to have developed an affiliation with the Boy Scouts of America. Through the Boy Scouts we have established an organization comprised of young people who work with and learn the science of fire fighting. The explorers are mentored by veteran members of the Haddon Heights Fire Department while participating in training, calls for service and other department activities. The program is open to young people at least fourteen years of age and has completed the eighth grade. A strict emphasis is placed on the full development of the individual both within the fire service as well as academically. Parental involvement is a key to the success of the program.
